從二○○八年的奧運到今年上海世博,這些社會矛盾尤其被加深:為了建造一個嶄新的城市,為了證明「城市,讓生活更美好」,要先把那些城市中不明亮的角落一一拆遷,來滿足他們對「美好生活」的定義,和地產商的龐大利益。而所有被迫拆遷戶一旦用憲法賦予他們的權利去上訪,所面對的是被毆打、被虐待、送勞教、送精神病院,然後和推土機下的廢墟瓦礫一起消失於公眾視野的地平線之外。(最近紐約時報特約記者出版一本新書《上海骷髏地》,紀錄了這些上訪者的悲哀)。
